Comfort Systems, a division of the Waldinger Corp., was founded in 1996 in Wichita, Kansas. We began by acquiring a well-established residential heating and air conditioning company by the name of J. H. Bowman Company. J. H. Bowman started serving Wichita in 1956.

Shortly thereafter two more residential HVAC companies were added by the names of J. D. Rea and Frank Wille Heating and Air Conditioning. The J. D. Rea Company was established in 1953. Frank Wille Heating and Air Conditioning was established in 1960. That's over 120 combined years of service. In 2004 Duane's Cooling and Heating from Derby joined forces with Comfort Systems to better serve our neighbors to the south of Wichita. Duane has been serving Derby and surrounding areas since 1985.

All four companies were very well trusted and respected names. They will continue to offer the quality service that their customers both demand and deserve. It's by no accident that these companies have stayed in business as long as they have while others come and go.

In 1999 Comfort Systems expanded their services by adding two well-known and established plumbing companies by the names of Riggs Plumbing Company and Nelson Plumbing. Riggs began serving Wichita in 1939 and Nelson Plumbing in the 1920's. In 2005 Mark & Leon Shalloup with Shalloup Plumbing joined the team. In 2006 we are proud to offer full drain cleaning and trenchless sewer replacement as well as video drain line inspection and a drain maintenance program to keep your plumbing flowing COMFORT-ably.

In 1999 Comfort Systems also expanded their services by offering a 13 month Home Warranty to the homebuyer and became Wichita's only LOCAL home warranty company.

By combining all seven of these companies Comfort Systems can offer any customer all their comfort needs in one stop.
